Career opportunities at HellermannTyton
We offer hands-on training towards vocational qualifications
Training young talent is a win-win
At HellermannTyton, we value having apprentices as an integral part of our workplace. Training young people in the context of our business gives them a great opportunity to combine theory with practical experience. Our employees also benefit from the interaction with inquisitive minds. And in the process, we ensure that our professional knowledge passes to the next generation.
We run an apprenticeship scheme in partnership with local colleges in and around Manchester and Plymouth, where our manufacturing sites are located. You can discover more about our locations here.

What's that first step towards a career in manufacturing like?
Joe is a Tool Room Apprentice at our HellermannTyton manufacturing site in Manchester. He makes the parts for the plastic injection moulds HellermannTyton uses to manufacture products like cable ties. His interest in engineering and how stuff works grew at school.
Joe heard about the possibility of an engineering apprenticeship at HellermannTyton from a friend, and decided to apply. After an interview and a two-day trial, he started out on a 5 year training path accompanied by a mentor, that will qualify him as a Tool Maker.
